In search of full lips, youthful hands and a radiant complexion I made my way to Fiona & Marie’s Facial Aesthetics clinic in London’s Harley Street for a course of Restylane® treatments three months before my wedding. Wedding treatments

I had a course of three treatments, administered by Marie, over a two-month period, incorporating both Restylane Lipp® to give my lips volume and shape and Restylane Vital® to boost the hydration of my hands and lower face. The treatments comprise a number of very fine micro-injections of the fillers, administered over lunch-time sessions, three weeks apart.

Does it hurt?

Marie applied a local anaesthetic cream to my face and hands half-an-hour before my treatment and a dental bloc was used to numb my lips, so there was only the minimal discomfort. The procedure is quick, and well worth it when you see the final results! Occasionally there may be some injection-related redness, swelling and bruising at the injection site, however this typically disappears within a few days of treatment.

Good results?

I was delighted! My skin looked bright and hydrated and visibly more youthful. Hands are a real tell-tale sign of ageing, and mine had now lost that dry, veiny appearance and were plumped and healthy looking, ready to go on view for bridal duties like exchanging rings and cutting the cake. My lips were even, plumped and kissable ready to seal the big day with a kiss!”

What’s the secret?

How does it work?

The treatment involves a series of micro-injections of pure hyaluronic acid gel over two to three sessions. A course of three Restylane Vital treatments costs in the region of £450. The benefits last around six-nine months and can be maintained by repeat treatment once or twicea year. Restylane Lipp starts from £400.
